Using Gigmor’s One-Click Booking

Gigmor takes the pain and frustration out of the booking process. Our platform is designed to automate the workflow of a talent buyer or anyone seeking to find and book talent.

Discovery

We know you get a ton of unsolicited emails and texts from bands. But there’s no easy way to separate the ones who will bring a room full of cheering fans from the rest. Our artist database is designed to make the discovery and evaluation process faster and easier. You can search over 65K artist profiles on Gigmor based on genre, location and other criteria. You can sort them by Rating, Newest, Nearest and alphabetically. In all cases Gigmor Pro artists appear at the top—they’re usually the most serious and best-qualified artists.

Artist search

Search results have links to artists’ music and videos with a quick snapshot of their fanbase size and their average rating. You can add a Note using the icon in the top right or add them to a List so you can find them again easily. Clicking on the Book Now button displays a booking offer form where you can select a date and add other booking criteria like payment terms, start time, etc. that will be sent directly to that artist.

Clicking on the artist name in Search Results brings up the full profile. This has everything you need to evaluate them, including links to their social media accounts.

In both cases you can click on the pen icon to add a Note (that only you will see) to the profile or click on the list icon to add it to a new or pre-existing list.

One-Click Booking

Calendar

The booking dashboard menu on the left allows you to navigate to your booking calendar, current and past bookings, your Lists and other features. Let’s walk through it, starting with the Calendar.

Each date on the calendar allows you to add a note (the pen icon) or send a booking offer (the + icon).  Clicking on the + icon displays a booking offer form where you can select a date and add other booking criteria like payment terms, start time, etc. When you start typing under Booking Contact, Gigmor artist names will appear. Then click on the right artist link. You can also send a booking offer to any artist not currently on Gigmor by typing any letter and clicking on Add New Contact at the bottom of the list. You can then enter their name and email address. Click on Add New Contact and they’ll appear in the list when you start typing after that.

When you send a booking offer the artist’s name will appear on the calendar in grey. When they accept the offer, the text turns to orange.

Booking

Clicking on Bookings launches the list of your booking activity. You can use the dropdown at the top to toggle between All, Past, Confirmed and Future bookings.

Bookings Dashboard

Each booking in the list shows key information about the gig and the Status column shows Pending, Confirmed or the artist rating you give them after they’ve performed.

Add docs is Immediately to the left of the Status column. Click on the + sign and you can send the artist a contract, load-in information or any other info in pdf or doc format. You will see when they’ve viewed it and you can request an online signature.

Under Book Again or Avails, you can click on the calendar icon to rebook an artist or the Avail icon to request artist’s availability on one or more specific dates.

Avails

Avails, as the name suggests, allows you to send a message to one or more artists requesting their potential availability on a specific date. Avails show up as blue in the calendar.

Gigs

Gigs is a list of your gig posts. (To publish a gig post, click on Create Gig in the top right of the Nav bar.) You can view a list of all the artist submissions by clicking on the number of responses. From there, you can review their music and social media and click Book Now to send them a booking request. You can also Duplicate a post, which allows you to create a new post with, for example, a different date, quickly and easily.

Lists

Lists allow you to save artist profiles to view or book later. Two lists are automatically created for you: profiles with Notes and profiles you’ve recently viewed. You can create as many new lists as you like by clicking on the + sign in the top right.

Settings

Settings allows you to change account or profile settings, including email, profile name, links to social media, etc.

Access

Access allows you to add team members to your account so they can log in and access the calendar and booking features.

King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard Announce Rescheduled Tour Dates

Live music is beginning to return this summer but North American fans of Australian Psych-Rock band King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard may have to wait a while.

King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard was originally scheduled to tour the US and Canada throughout 2020 but that was canceled for obvious reasons…Those dates got rescheduled for 2021 and they’ve again been rescheduled for 2022. In a social media post, the band acknowledged some of the complexities of rescheduling:

Despite the false starts, it’s great news for fans of the band that solid dates are on the books. Most of the shows have even been rescheduled at the same venues of the original dates. The North American tour is set to kick off in Berkeley, CA at Greek Theatre on October 2, 2022. Check dates and get more info here.

Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World

Last Saturday, Global Citizen hosted Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World, with the goals of raising funds pertaining to vaccine equity efforts and encouraging everyone across the globe to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Prior to the event, Global Citizen released a statement saying, “COVID-19 will continue to present a public health crisis unless everyone everywhere can receive a vaccine. The international community must come together to ensure the equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines in low-income countries.”

With 27,000 fully vaccinated essential healthcare workers in attendance at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood (in addition to hundreds of thousands of online viewers in over 100 countries), Vax Live was one of the largest events Southern California has seen since the beginning of the pandemic. Throughout the evening, host Selena Gomez and various musical guests and speakers, including President and First Lady Biden, Prince Harry and Meghan, Vice President Kamala Harris, Jennifer Lopez, J Balvin, the Foo Fighters and more honored these healthcare workers and celebrated their vaccination efforts, while also emphasizing the fact that the fight is not over and highlighting the issue of vaccine equity.

Prior to Vax Live, Global Citizen and its affiliates raised funding for COVAX, a vaccine-sharing program that intends to promote equitable vaccine access through dose sharing. In the past three months, COVAX has delivered vaccines to over 100 countries, prioritizing low income and at risk nations. Speakers and performers at Vax Live further bolstered support for these efforts, such as Prince Harry, who stated “We cannot rest and fully recover until there is fair distribution to every corner of the world. We need to lift up all of humanity and make sure nobody is left behind,” and South African actress Nomzamo Mbatha, who told the audience that “Many in Africa might not get a vaccine until 2023… It’s simply unacceptable. The spirit is in us all to rally together and demand that no one, wherever they were born, is left behind.” In addition, the Pope virtually joined the event from the Vatican, urging “a temporary suspension of intellectual property rights” on vaccines to ensure everyone across the globe can be safely vaccinated, while Vice President Kamala Harris stated, “If we have gained anything, it’s a reminder of the responsibility we have as a global community to see one another, to support one another, and to protect one another.”

In addition to promoting vaccine equity, Vax Live representatives urged everyone to get vaccinated if they can. Host Selena Gomez said, “If you’re on the fence about getting vaccinated, if you don’t think you need it to protect yourself, I’m not going to lecture you. I’m going to beg you. Please get vaccinated – for your family, your neighbors, and every single person you come in contact with.” In addition, H.E.R. performed for those receiving their vaccines at the mass COVID-19 vaccination site outside of SoFi Stadium, demonstrating how life can begin to return to normal once receiving a vaccine.

Over the course of the evening, Vax Live raised over $302 million, greatly exceeding its goals. These funds will enable Global Citizen to procure over 26 million doses of the COVID vaccine, which will be provided to marginalized and high-risk communities.

This is not the first time that Global Citizen, which usually focuses their efforts on ending poverty, has contributed to the fight against COVID-19. Last April, they hosted One World: Together at Home, a televised concert that encouraged people to stay home and protect their communities against COVID-19. In addition, Global Citizen recently launched Reward To Reunite the World, a program that enables vaccinated Americans to win tickets to major concerts and sporting events by sharing why they got vaccinated on social media using #VaxBecause. Global Citizen is also currently working with world leaders to ensure that excess vaccine doses can go to countries in need. At least 60% of the world’s population must be vaccinated in order to end the pandemic, making it more important than ever that no vaccine is left unused.
