Gigmor’s Favorite Videos of the Month

One of our favorite things about Gigmor is that it gives fans a digestible visual aesthetic that lets anyone see the complete layout of all their favorite Gigmor artist’s work. This means users can access music (obviously), level of expertise, show dates, who their fans are, and much much more all from their artist profile. We want our users to have one complete visualization for each of the artist’s profiles.

One trend we have noticed recently is bands and artists uploading their live acts and music videos to their profiles. Let’s peep at a few of the best videos on Gigmor as of today, keep uploading people and maybe you’ll be featured next time. These videos stood out not just because we liked the tune, but because of the energy and passion the artists show in that performance. Make sure to shoot these artists a follow after watching their vids! Hope you enjoy.

Gigmor’s Crowdfunding Campaign

Four years ago I had a dream: to build technology that would help musicians find compatible players in their area. As any artist will tell you: the right musical connections can change your life!

Since then I’m proud to say we’ve achieved significant traction and national recognition as a musicians’ network and matching service. Now we’re building a best-of-breed booking marketplace that will streamline the process of hiring live talent.

Starting Gigmor combined my two greatest passions (apart from my family): technology and music. I couldn’t have imagined the journey ahead. High highs, low lows.

We’ve had some great victories: winning a Silicon Beach startup pitch competition, awesome coverage in the LA Times, Forbes and Billboard, achieving over $566K in share reservations in our crowdfunding campaign, gaining the trust of 50K musicians and a thousand industry pros on a bootstrapped budget.

Today the dream is becoming a reality. But we’re still in the first inning. There’s so much more to do! To make that dream happen, we need you. We need your investment now to build a live music marketplace that will attract talent and industry players around the world!

Find Musicians Using Gigmor’s Matching

Happy New Year from all of us at Gigmor! Today we’re happy to announce that we’re over 85% toward our goal of $500,000 in our crowdfunding campaign! Thanks to everyone who’s contributed to our StartEngine campaign so far! Please help us reach the finish line by spreading the word!

We’re committed to building the world’s biggest, and best, musician and gig marketplace. So expect to see some really cool features launching soon. To help you get the most out of Gigmor right now, here’s a refresher on the most common questions about how to find musicians and bands.

When Do I Get New Matches?

We look for new matches every time you log in, when you switch profiles when you’re online and every Sunday night. We work overnight—well some of our team does. Seriously!

Why Aren’t I Getting Any New Matches?

Remember: the maximum number of matches is 40 so if you’re at the maximum, make sure to delete old or irrelevant matches to free up room for new ones.

Make sure all the genres you play are listed in your profile. If all you play is Latin Jazz, that’s fine, but you’ll find more musicians if you diversify a little.

I’m not Getting Any New Matches For My Band. Why?

Make sure your band profile lists one or more Required Instruments. We only match musicians who play the instrument you’re looking for. Musicians are matched with all local musicians except those who play the same instrument as them.

Why Dating Sites Use Matching

We know a lot of musicians still use craigslist—stubborn folks, those!—but matching is, plain and simple, a superior technology for connecting people based on compatibility. It’ll save you time—and headaches. It just takes a few minutes to complete or revise your profile then we do the searching for you.

We want to be your go-to site as you grow your musical career—or pursue music as a passion. So we’re working hard every day to earn your loyalty. We want to hear from you so keep sending us feedback. You are our most important asset!

Rock On!
